Meaning
Sunya ("u" pronounced as "oo" in the word "book)" is a word from Sanskrit, the ancient and classical language of India. Our modern number system was invented in India 1,500 years ago.
Sunya has the meaning of being empty or without any quantity. When a player goes out of cards to win he/she says "sunya" meaning he/she is out of cards and has won the game.
Dedication
Sunya® is dedicated to the study of the physical world (science) and the human discovery and in vention of mathematics as a universal language. The Hindu-Arabic Numeral System handed down for us by the ancient world is universally accepted as the foundation of modern mathematics. It is one example of the many threads that connect all cultures, and the kinship of shared discovery and knowledge across peoples and nations.
Our heritage comes from all people, from all parts of our world, civilizations North, South, East and West. Across an ocean from the old-world native inhabitants of the new world lived in reverence of the earth and all its life. With eloquent words they bequeathed to us an understanding and regard for all people.
"Grandfather, Great Spirit, all over the world the faces of living ones are alike. Give us the strength to understand and the eyes to see. Teach us to walk the soft earth as relatives to all that live."
